Dear Members of the League of Women Voters of Johnson County,

I look forward to seeing you on March 7, 2026 for the LWVJoCo’s 2026 Annual Meeting.   At this meeting, we will approve the 2026-2027 budget, hold elections for Board positions, make changes to our bylaws, set the local programs for next year, and make other decisions for the coming year.  According to the bylaws, a quorum of members is required to conduct League business at the annual meeting.  Therefore, I urge you to make every effort to attend. Please register in advance of the meeting by logging into our league’s website.

The 3 most important items in the Packet are:

1. Revisions to the Bylaws – these are to strengthen our league and provide for better stability and succession planning. The key changes are: a) The Vice President will directly support the President; b) A new Program Chair is created to plan the monthly programs which previously had been the responsibility of the Vice President; c) Elections for Voter Information and Voter Registration (the two biggest and most important committees) will be done in separate years.

I urge you to review the information prior to the meeting.  You may access the packet during the meeting on your phone, tablet, or laptop.  You are welcome to print the document and bring it to the meeting.  Printed copies will not be provided at the meeting.
