LWVJoCo, You Make a Difference!
 
Election Turnout
 
The hard work of LWVJoCo teams Voter Registration and Voter Information, as well as the many members who have joined in to get out the vote, is paying off!
 
Early news reports indicate that both Johnson and Wyandotte county polling locations are seeing turnout greater than that of the 2020 election.

The Suffragist Memorial Mural Committee reports that $20,000 is still needed to reach the $95,000 goal.

Ruby Bridges said YES to Kansas students! She will be part of the 2nd Annual Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day on November 14, 2024, appearing in person in Topeka, KS, to speak to 1,000+ Kansas students.

OBSERVER CORPS REPORTS
 
 Help us cover Johnson County! 
 
We need an observer for the Johnson County Mental Health Center Advisory Board meetings, which occur every other month. These meetings are a great way learn about what is going on with mental health in Johnson County.
This Advisory Group has members from the MH Center, the police force, the judicial system, the education system, the health system, and the JoCo Board of County Commissioners, as well as citizens who have needed mental health care for themselves or their loved ones.

Membership Team

🤝 New Member Orientation is held quarterly. The next orientation will be November 10, 2024, at the Johnson County Central Resource Library at 9875 W. 87th Street, Overland Park, KS. It will start at 1:30 p.m. 

 
🍂 The Membership Committee Meeting will be held in person Nov. 14, at the Johnson County Central Resource Library at 9875 W. 87th Street, Overland Park, KS.The meeting is at 4:00 p.m. in Room 13.
 
🐝 New initiative: Membership Retention Crew- Give them a Buzz. WE NEED YOUR HELP to make up to three phone calls per month, and complete a summary of the chat. Enjoy chatting with a fellow member! Email membership@lwvjoco.org
